Weddings
The arch you walk under, the tables people sit at, the cake everybody photographs — and the small things nobody notices until they are missing.
We build the ceremony first: white arches threaded with greenery and roses, an aisle laid down the middle of a lawn, an altar table at the end of it. Then the reception — bowls of garden roses on the tables, the top table, the cake stand. The cake travels in a closed case and is dressed once it is standing where it will stay, because a four-tier cake and a Nairobi road are not friends.
We set up before the first guest arrives and we come back for the stands the next morning. You do not need to think about either.
